Pink Diamonds.
They are incredibly rare, and commensurately expensive. This one has an amazing
color. GIA calls it "Fancy Brown-Pink"- that means the predominant color is
pink.
If GIA had called
the diamond "Fancy Pink", it could easily be more than double the price.
Many pink diamonds are
imperfect. Not this one. In fact, GIA graded it VVS2- one of the very cleanest
clarity grades. Looking at the GIA report, you will notice that GIA clarifies
the reason for the clarity grade. The diamond is actually Internally Flawless-
but was downgraded to VVS2 due to some minuscule internal graining.
It's a lovely cut- soft sided
cushion with an antique vibe.
The diamond has great size for
1.07carats as well.
