We're a "wholesale" company that turned into an internet selling company. We used to sell them to stores- so we have to own the diamonds at prices below what stores pay. We do this by buying in bulk from prime sources.
We got the diamond from the genius who cut it. I can't say enough good things about this diamond cutting factory- here in New York City. In tall buildings well above the hustle and bustle.
We're not trying to be the least expensive place to buy a diamond.
When we buy we pay a bit more than some of the more savage wholesale buyers- because we always insist the cutters allow us to select only the finest cut stones- but we get first pick and some amazing one of a kind deals.
"List" diamonds on the internet can vary widely in price. Since we have the actual diamond - and multiple photos of each one for you to see, we offer a lot more than someone offering a list. We also offer a trade up policy. Something "list" sellers usually don't.
That said- we know we have to be well below the price that you could pay walking into a store. It's highly unlikely you'll find this type of selection and prices in a retail walk in environment.
