This cut is totally unusual.
The stone was purchased by our friend as an
emerald cut- he had it re-cut to this unique radiant type facet pattern.
To
achieve such a stunning result, he had to trim away a lot of the original
stone.
When he started, the stone weighed close to 6 carats. The stone now
weighs 4.42carats. They really went for the best possible cut- and this shows.
In terms of visual
size, this stone is HUGE
The stone has
great sparkle- you can see it in the video.
The color is also
unusually light- yet pure blue.
The cutter claims this is a very
rare stone.... I have not seen many like it.
The color is going to really look
great once we get this puppy set.
